 Sumatra Salon & Spa is co-owned by brother
and sister team John Bikcen and Belinda Lyons. Belinda and John
grew up in the salon atmosphere of Washington D.C where their
parents owned and operated several successful salons. Building
upon that experience Belinda and John combined their talents,
opening Sumatra Salon & Spa in the heart of Virginia Beach,
VA.
After many years of working alongside her parents, Belinda
followed in their footsteps by entering the field of cosmetology.
Owning her own salon has been Belinda's lifelong dream. Known
for her exceptional creativity and client-focused approach, Belinda
enjoys a loyal following. Living and working in the Virginia
Beach area since 1983, Belinda is well known for fantastic hair-cuts,
specializes in coloring and highlights, and really enjoys helping
people look and feel their best.
John has a graduate degree from the University of Maryland
in International Finance and is responsible for running the day-to-day
operations.
We are located at what is quickly becoming the new epicenter
of Virginia Beach - The Virginia Beach Town Center. Easily accessible
from I-264, and just minutes from Norfolk and the Virginia Beach
Oceanfront, Sumatra Salon & Spa is conveniently located at
the heart of a growing metropolis. Sumatra Salon & Spa is
just feet from the new P.F. Chang's China Bistro, California
Pizza Kitchen, and Cold Stone Creamery.
